Families are encouraged to visit anytime so long as visits do not interfere with the residents care needs.
Family owned and operated, therefore frequent visits by children and grandchildren can be expected
Arrange for transfer of residents to a local hospital if an emergency requires, immediately, or as soon as possible, notifying the resident's legal representative(s) of such transfer.
House Policies
Non-smoking home. Residents who smoke will be required to do so independently in the outdoor designated smoking area only.
Personal pets are allowed only for visits.
Long distance telephone calls are the responsibility of the resident.
Intercoms may be used to monitor residents and alert the care providers of resident’s care needs. Intercoms may be turned off by, or at, the resident’s request.
Use of illegal drugs is prohibited at Cinnabar Adult Foster Care Home.
Medical Marijuana is allowed for resident use with an order from resident’s physician or nurse practitioner. Smoking of Medical Marijuana is not allowed in the home. Medical Marijuana must be smoked outside in designated area only.
Alcohol use is allowed only if it does not interfere with health, safety and welfare of the residents and/or care provider.
Service Fees
Contact us for information on the basic daily rate. Additional add-on may apply to the basic rate depending on the initial assessment and as the resident’s care needs change. These charges will also be subtracted if care needs decrease. Please speak with Jessie or Doris with any questions you may have.
The following are NOT included in the basic rate and must be supplied or purchased by the resident at his or her own expense:
Briefs; disposable and reusable pads (such as Depends, ‘Chux’, and washable pads), including those to keep bed dry
Any creams or other topical ointments or medications
Ensure or other food/vitamin supplement
Over-the-counter medications; prescriptions and any other medical supplies required or desired.
Meal Preparation
Daily cooking to be done by caregiver.
Guest bakers may occasionally drop in for special dessert baking.
Guest chefs/cooks may drop in for a change in pace for meals.
